Pjoto: Time to Get Out For a Walk in Wenatchee

Whether looking at the Apple Capital Loop Trail, a secluded canal road, a quiet residential area, or the Horan Nature Area, there are lots of places in the Wenatchee area to get out and go for a walk.  It's that time of year too when there is no more snow on the ground to use as an excuse too.  So get out there today!

Stopped by Walla Walla Park not too long ago and there were plenty of ducks out.  They just loved the bread we brought to feed them too!

One of the key landmarks in the Wenatchee area is Saddlerock.  A short hike to the top can be fun anytime of year.  The view from up there is awesome too!

Wenatchee has a lot of nice places to get out and walk through.  The Apple Capital Loop Trail is one if them and one of the nicer sections is near the east end of the Riverwalk Bridge.  A great display of artwork can be seen there as part of the Art on the Avenues display in town.

The Apple Capital Loop Trail is a fun place all year long.  During the winter the restrooms may be closed but rest assured that the trail is completely accessible.   So get out and walk, run, Rollerblade, snowshoe, skip, saunter, glide, pedal, or even hop your way along the Apple Capital Loop Trail today!

Wenatchee has some interesting artwork visible around town.  It ranges from metal sculptures to painted retaining walls.  This mural sits on Ferry Street just west of where it connects to Mission.

The Horan Nature Area sits just across the Wenatchee River from Confluence State Park on the north end of Wenatchee.  During late winter and early spring it is a great place to go to catch a glimpse of some interesting wildlife, some native to the area and some just passing through.
