The Wenatchee Fire Department is always there when they are needed, whether it is a structure fire or responding to the needs of an injured citizen.

Wenatchee is blessed with some great parks.  One of the lesser used ones, in comparison to places like Walla Walla and Confluence, is Washington Park.  A great old covered picnic area and a nice newer climbing toy are two of the park's key features.

Lincoln Rock State Park offers camping, boating, swimming, and many other types of entertainment.  It is located just north of town on the east side of the Columbia River.  In this photo, you cab see the shoreline which un some parts has been built up with large rocks.

As you walk through the Horan Nature Area, a great local nature asset in Wenatchee, one interesting feature on one side of the main pathway are these twin radio towers standing together in the middle of a meadow.  They are visible from all over town and can be used by out of towners as a landmark to help figure out where they are.

Right out in front of the Performing Arts Center in downtown Wenatchee is a large fountain that makes for a pleasant gathering place.  Here we see what ut looked like last fall after ir had been turned off.  Stop by now though to see it in action.

Rotary Park is still one of the newer parks in Wenatchee and one of its best features, if you ask the kids, is the splash pad / fountain toy.  What an awesome way to cool off!
